Hey Scotty should I change my 2006 Toyota Highlander’s trans fluid ? It has 256,xxx miles on it and I’m not completely sure if it’s ever been changed. The trans still shifts fine and the fluid still has a pink color to it I would just like to prolong the life of the transmission. Thanks!

If the transmission fluid still has some color to it and doesn’t smell burnt I’d do a drain and fill.

Sounds good I will do that. Would castrol transmax multi import vehicle work? It says for use in Honda, Nissan and Toyota. If not what would be a good trans fluid I could buy from advance auto parts? I know they sell valvoline Dex/Merc and I’m pretty sure my trans takes Dexron VI

Get WS fluid.

I used Castrol transmax because the dipstick calls for T-IV fluid and Castrol transmax multi import has specifications for T-IV on it. Shifts great gas mileage seems to be better as well.
