I put in a new motor for 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2 liter because the old one blew now it would crank but not start

Probably either a fuel or ignition problem. You can narrow it down by spraying some starting fluid in the air intake and if the engine briefly fires up you know you have ignition and need to look at the fuel system, and vice versa.
