2009 370Z….172k (60% hiway) miles
“Service Engine, soon” light on. Mechanic erased code for “inefficient” catalytic conv. Code came back. Z registered in Texas…checks emissions once per year…next due March 2026…
Is there an effective additive for cleaning the cat converter? Where to buy?

Please provide the code per the site posting instructions. (Probably P0420, but we can't know for sure unless you tell us.)

No.
However, if you look up the code details you'll find that there are other potential causes that should be checked out before condemning the converter itself.
