Cat converter concern

Hello, I hope all is well. I drive a 2006 Honda Accord Lx 2.4L engine. Recently, I took my car into the dealership for a diagnostic and they said I should replace my catalytic converter that I opted out of at the time. A couple of days later, my check engine light came on and the code came up as P0420, which is mainly for catalytic converter problems I was told and was going to try to treat it with the method Scotty demonstrated in his video. This morning when I turned my car on, the check engine light turned off, keep in mind I have not experienced any issues with my cat converter. Is there a need for me to still try to treat it or should I wait for something ? Thank you!

I would wait until there is a specific problem to address. A dealership is probably the most expensive choice for having a cat replaced. An independent mechanic will use an aftermarket cat for a much lower price.

I have an 05 accord 227,000 miles, When I am driving stop and go the cat heats up faster. The engine light comes on and the code is always po139 secondary 02 sensor. If I'm on the interstate it does not come on. I drove 1,100 miles to NY, and 700 miles to Florida, and the engine light did not come on. I bought a cheap diagnostic computer and just clear the code. I also changed the 02 sensor which on my car is directly in the cat.
