Do not use lacquer thinner for cleaning the cat. Find an appropriate product for this purpose. You may search this forum for more details.

I also have watched quite a few videos on the subject and read a number of articles.

Many people swear by it, but my problem is lacquer thinner just wasn't designed with automotive seals and gaskets in mind.  To me it's a risk I would not be willing to take.

If you google it, there are a number of products out there for you to try.

If you do try any, let us know if there was any improvement.

I was watching  one of yours YouTube  vidoes and you show how to clean with lacquer thinner,  what else product could I use ?

It all depends on the catalytic converter status. Some products work in some cases, others don't. You can remove the cat and clean it with the dishwasher soap, in some cases, it works. One question for you: Do you have a code for the cat or you just want to do it?

Yes I have cod ! During this 3 years I owned this car I made a diagnostic with computer twice. one in the beginning when I bought and one couple mounts ago . In both of times show me that is problem with the catalyst. The mechanics sad " bla bla dont worry is not a big deal " .Now if I drive with LPG there is no " Check IN " on the computer but once I start to drive with gasoline after approximately 1 hour driving the " the Check In appear again . I cannot do by myself to pull out the cat and put it In dishwasher soap as Scotty sad . But I will go to the near car repair service and do it !

If you really do not need to pass emissions inspection, do not worry about it. It won't hurt the car performance.
