Hi there,

I have a 2015 honda accord sport just over 100,000 miles, no check engine light on and today I noticed the sound of tin cans dragging under my car. It isnt constant and not very loud but its definitely there. Unfortunately I live in California. Just wondering if I should try cleaning it out somehow before I go ahead and run to the mechanic to be charged up the {blackemo}:easymoney: to have it replaced? Any help is greatly appreciated. {black}

First make sure that the noise is from the cat but nothing else. If the noise is from the broken honeycombs inside the cat, cleaning does not do anything.

First are you sure it is the cat making the sound.  You can try and clean it, but if pieaces have broken in the cat there is nothing you can do.

Make sure it isn't a loose cat converter heat shield rattling. It's fairly common and they can make quite a racket.
