1993 Toyota Celica dies while driving

So I recently bought a 1993 Toyota celica gt and it starts fine.  It drives for about half an hour and then shuts off and only cranks.  Then we spray some ignition fluid in it and it starts up again.  It doesn’t have a scanning port so we can’t use an obd.  What do you think it can be?

dying fuel pump or clogged fuel filter, obviously, since when you spray fuel in it starts again.

If it was spark plugs then ignition fluid wouldn't work

As @mmj says, it is likely the fuel filter or pump.

There is an OBD1 diagnostic connector that can be used to obtain diagnostic codes by blinking the check engine light. (They are much more limited than OBD2 codes but can be helpful.)
