Scotty. I'm interested in your opinion on the problems there having with the Honda CR V engines with 1.5 turbo. Apparently in cold climates the engine wont heat up enough to defrost the front windows. Honda has tried with little success to fix the problem. Said it's from oil dilution? Do you think turbo in cold climate has anything to do with it?
There are a number of problems that could cause poor defrosting (bad thermostat, low coolant level, blend door stuck, heater fan/control malfunction) but oil dilution would not affect defrosting (until the engine wore out and broke!).
It's a good bet -if there is a real problem- then Honda knows what is wrong.
And if Honda is blowing people off it's probably because it would be a costly recall.
Betting either the heater core is just too small, or the water flow too slow.
