Scotty, have you read the 1996 book Dodge, Plymouth & Chrysler Police Cars 1979-1994 by Edwin J. Sanow and John L. Bellah with Galen Govier? (For the record, the ISBN number is 0-7603-0197-2.) I ask because you might get a kick out of a certain chapter in the book that's entitled "Reliability Crisis: Maine State Police Problems." The chapter in question concerns reliability problems that the Maine State Police had with the 1978 Plymouth Fury as well as with the 1980 Dodge St. Regis. Considering your track record of criticizing Chrysler products, the chapter will likely resonate with you.

I know currently the Dodge Charger V6 Pentastar Interceptors are the problem children. Interesting to hear of the problem cars back in the day.
