Question for you transmission experts.
2013 Honda Insight with 63,000 miles and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) transmission
1.3L hybrid engine
Having NO issues. Transmission shifting fine.
Maintenance manual says replace transmission fluid.
Because its a CVT transmission, even the local shop that advertises itself as a Transmission Repair Shop will NOT work on the CVT.
I am considering a do-it-myself simple fluid change without pulling the bottom plug and filter.
Considering putting a siphon down the top refill tube, sucking out the old fluid into measuring cup and replacing that measured amount with clean fluid.
I know thats not the best way but is it better than nothing or a stupid waste of time?
What problems or issues will I have doing my (maybe dumb) idea?
