Unfortunate Chevy Sonic Owner

Say someone bought a previously unmaintained used Chevy Sonic.

After about 30,000 miles on top of previous wear and a supposed tuneup.. the engine side fuel filter had a hole poked in it, my ecm sensor failed and the radiator fan did not turn, blowing the water pump.

I still have noise, so I fear the head, but after seeing your videos I think it may be the ignition chain. If those two were together could I find an experienced mechanic and still be able to adjust these things or is the engine too sensitive internally? In other words, how maintainable is this vehicle, or is it what I call a Japanese Hamster Car? I assume the latter.

No one should buy any car that wasn't maintained.
