I have a 2002 Pontiac montana. I changed the air filter and now it won't turn over. I unplugged the MAF and I guess I was supposed to disconnect the the negative battery cable before I plugged the MAF back in. What does that do to make it not turn over and how do I fix it.
Check your work closely and make sure you didn't unplug any lines or knock vacuum hoses off because unplugging and plugging in the mail sensor generally won't hurt anything
Ok Thank you Scotty.
I finally solved the van won't start after changing the air filter problem. There is a blue wire coming out of the wiring harness that is close to where I was working. It goes into the compartment where the computer is and it was pinched between the wiring harness and the computer housing. When I was changing the air filter I must have moved it and it broke. I wired it back together and the van started right. Thanks scotty for telling me to check my work closely.
Thanks for posting back with the fix!
Also make sure you have the filter in correctly (that the airflow is moving the right way) and also check to make sure the airbox that holds the filter is sealing properly. Sometimes one of the clamps will not go back right and you wind up with a vaccum leak.
Ok Thank you
