- Hello everyone I currently have a 2008 Ford Mustang V6 and I’m in the market for an upgrade for next year or so and I’m wondering which vehicle would be better for reliability and overall maintenance cost a 2012 V6 or 2012 Gt V8

The V6 will always be cheaper to maintain, there's no debating that. The V8 is made just to add the fun factor and comes with the added costs of fuel, increased cost of maintenance, increase cost in insurance, etc.
Whichever way you go, get the automatic. Ford started using the MT-82 manual in 2011 and have had nothing but problems since to this day. Lots of info out there about them.
