I have a 2010 Nissan Murano 125k miles, that I took to the Nissan dealer for an oil change. The service manager told me this vehicle requires 0w20 full synthetic. I told him I thought that oil was only for the newer Nissan models. He said no and the tech put 0w20 full synthetic. Is this correct? Can we do our own oil change next time but use 5w30 full synthetic instead without damaging the car? I think you have done a video on this but could not remember which one has this commentary.

I’ve gone back and forth with 5W30 and 0W20 on my 2004 Prius. The spec changed and 0W20 was made backward compatible. It was fine, and your car will be fine.
