Aloha. i dig your Vids.

i need to change my oil pan Gasket on my

96' Toyota T100 3.4ltr 4WD auto trans.

do i need to remove the bar (i don't know what its called) that is just under the front part of the oil pan., it goes all the way across (the steering Damper is connected to this bar) it seems very close and tight  in order to lower / remove the pan..

i'd appreciate your advise., Mahalo Shane

You talking about steering linkage? You might not need to but if it's easy to take off and put back on, whatever makes the job easier I'd say. For my BMW I was able to get away with shimming out the oil pan because I refused to completely disconnected the subframe. 8 hours... yesh no thanks. Might be possible just to loosen the steering linkage so you have so you have wiggle room if it was really in the way.
