My wife owns a Challenger and the thing doesn't come with a dipstick to even check the fluid level. The manufacturer recommends changing it out at 90,000 miles. Is this something that I could do myself by dropping the pan and changing the filter and fluid or would you recommend taking it to a shop to have it done?

You can do it yourself but before that, inspect the fluid. If it is burnt and dirty, drain it and keep it, change the filter and refill with the old fluid to avoid transmission slipping.

If it’s clean I would do a full fluid exchange, especially if it’s a Dodge.
