I bought an 2018 Ford Focus Se last September in 2020 at BobSwope Ford in Elizabethtown, Ky. It had a little over 25 000 miles on it, now it have a little over 29,000 miles on it, not quite 30,000 miles. First, was this a good purchase? Second, when should I change the transmission fluid and transmission filter in it? It is an Automatic Transmission. It's making an shudder from first to second gear; or when I take off from an complete stop. Other than that, it seems to be fine and shift fine in other gears. Please help as this concerns me. I love your videos and watch your videos all the time. Keep up the great work.

What does the manual recommend for maintenance?
If it were my car, I would do a drain and fill now and again at every 20000 to 25000 miles. Filter around 75000 or less. You could try the additive Shudder Fixx. I have never used it but a transmission shop owner told me it works.
