Hello Scotty I am looking for a dependable off road vehicle that won’t break the bank. I have a 2016 Tacoma that I’ve been using but I don’t want to wear it out since I plan on driving it a long time. What do you think are some good reliable used options for off-roading and fun on the weekend? Your videos are great, thanks

You might look for an old Jeep Cherokee 4x4 with solid axles and 4.0 six-cylinder engine. They are very capable and pretty easy to work on for most things. Prices have been rising on them though, especially for clean examples that have not been modified to death.

Look at some old Toyota 4Runners and Toyota Land Cruisers.

The xterra was one of the last well-made nissans. It’s no 4runner, but if you can find one in good shape, you can get a lot for your money. And the dimensions of it are good for a variety of trails.(it seems like one of the engines they put in it had issues, so maybe make sure to avoid that one)

An older 4x4 Tacoma might be an option. You know they are amazing because you have one.

One beater Tacoma. And one nice Tacoma.

Get a Ford Ranger or Nissan Frontier.
