I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 6.0L 1500 HD 64,000 miles 4 door automatic no codes yet. Check engine light goes on sporadically when I gas it getting on the freeway or passing someone. Then it goes out once I let the truck sit until the next day. Today, the engine has a whining sound and the light came on just sitting in the driveway. Help? This is my only car now as I’m dumping my 2008 Malibu LTZ as it’s a piece of garbage falling apart, replaced tranny at 43,000 (has 86,000 now) and now it’s doing it again and valves r going. Thanks
If it’s pending, yes.
it’s intermittent, if you can get Advance, Auto Zone, or Oreillys to hook up a code reader and get the code.
My light just went on again. Brought it to my guy and it was just an airflow sensor. He lubed the electrical connection and seemed to do the trick. They will replace the sensor if it comes up again. So glad it wasn’t anything big. I love this truck! And they didn’t even charge me for it. Wish there were more honest guys like mine and Scotty!! Thanks for the help Oneimich!
you have to get the code first, Advance or Autozone will hook it up for you no charge.
Now the check engine light is off. Engine running fine. Will a code show up if the light is now off??
