Hi there,
So, I bought a 2000 Mercury Grand Pris with 68,000 miles from my boss. The car is well maintained and is practically flawless, however just last night on my way home from a 40 minute commute, the check engine light turned on. My question is besides changing the spark plugs to see if anything changes, what is my best course of action?
Thanks in advance!
Post the codes here when you get them.
It was a P0125 code for Replace thermostat. Hopefully its that easy.

I would take it to the local auto parts store and have them scan for codes. They offer that service for free and the codes will give you a much better idea of how to go about solving the issue.
