I have a Lexus ES 330 2004 with 210,000 miles on it. At 200,000 miles I put synthetic oil in it for the first time ever (that I know of, I am the third owner). Since I learned you don't advise making the change to synthetic in an old car like mine, should I switch back to conventional or stay with the synthetic?

If it hasn't been running synthetic up to now, I would swap back. Synthetic oils have a lot of additives that older seals and gaskets do not like, so you tend to start seeing oil leaks when running synthetic on an older, higher mileage motor.

Thanks for the answer to my question.

You're very welcome
