I have a 2011 ford fusion se and it says "check fuel fill inlet" i checked online and found that alot of times u can fix this by spraying some injector cleaner or wd 40 around it to clear the debris. This didnt work and im wondering what i should do. I bought the car used and have owned it less than a week
Get it scanned for codes. It's probably something to do with the EVAP system. Try a new gas cap, too.
Modern Fords have often do not have gas caps.
My '14 Focus doesn't have one, and as it seems neither does the fusion... It's just a metal flap...

Get a new gas FLAP seal.

"Maybe"

Find a real mechanic with real life experience.
IMO
Usually there's no harm in trying to fix something yourself, before giving up and taking it to a mechanic.
Might learn something in the process.
