I have a 94 Chevy 1500 it recently broke down while driving on the highway sparks came out of my muffler it last power then died the cat was glowing hot I figured it went out so I towed it home cut it off then tried to start it with no luck I pulled spark plugs looks like it's not getting spark so I changed coil still nothing I recently done coil plugs and distributor about 2 months prior what else should I check?
What engine is this and model/year truck ?
It has a 5.7 1994 chevy 1500
Please mention the full year, make, model & engine + transmission in your initial question.
Already changed the fuel filter & pressure tested your fuel pump?
Have you already followed all the steps in Scotty’s video? https://youtu.be/064Ilsz8Fzg
If you're sure this is a "no spark" problem
maybe test the ignition control module and pickup coil.
Here's how:

The big three - AIR - FUEL - SPARK. Check all three because you need all three.
