I don't know about Carlisle, but Canadian Tire branded stuff is pretty junky and the tires made exclusively for them are pretty low grade. I wouldn't put them on my car. For a trailer that I didn't use often ... sure, who cares.

I just purchased carlisle off of amazon for my boat trailer, 13'' stampped right into the rubber '' made in china ''

Chinese tires are poor quality. If you have had good luck with them and like rolling the dice, keep on keeping on.

cooper tires are also made in china

as well as Michelin, Goodyear, Yokohama and Continental

Even if some are, it's still an American company with American standards. Hopefully still

That's why, as Scotty mentioned a few vids back, you should always check the actual tire you are buying. And if it says "Made in China", don't buy them.

I would not put them on my car, here in Central Texas. It gets too hot in the summer (100 plus) and the legal highway speeds are between 70-80 mph. The real shame of Chinesium goods is that the Chinese are perfectly capable of producing quality goods (such as my Elitebook and my Pixel 3a phone). But when it comes to car parts, it's a whole another story . ; . dangerous, dangerous junk.

i have chinese tires on my winters they fine.

i see ur canadian, go on kijiji or marketplace get used, you could get a really good deal if someone just sold their car. make sure DOT (manufacture date) isnt too old and thread is deep and no cracks.

for my accord i bought 4 like new all season with alloy rims was like 300 (tires) + 50 (rims) + 80 (mount/balance)

for 17 inch tire which was really good price since new is 180-200 a piece

You're playing an even more dangerous game by buying partly worn tyres lad..

Ya gotta remember that China is a communist country that pays it's workers next to nothing and has nearly zero [ if any ] quality control. Remember the drywall and dog food fiasco's? Shop around and buy american.

drywall and dog ??

A while back there were recalls for dog food that was made in China and contaminated with heavy metals. I don't remember the drywall problem. A decent USA made tire I get are Kelly Edge AS or ATs. They're bottom shelf Goodyear tires and a set of 4 ATs on my Ranger only ran about $550.
