Chrysler 200 S with a 3.6L Pentastar V6 AWD engine with 105k actual miles. AWD 3.6L engine. Starts, Runs and drives, however, it won’t go past 45mph. Transmission and crankshaft position sensor have both been replaced, but the car is still acting up and still shows the crankshaft position sensor as being defective
help please !
The two times my cars would be limping below normal speeds:
1) 2003 Prius: Going uphill on a hot day. Engine was purring fine, and then cut off to lower revs. And couldn’t go past 45MPH. It was overheating so it started to limp. Perhaps check the cooling system, and your temperature gauges.
2) 2007 BMW X5: couldn’t get to speed up hills. Struggled. Ended up being the catalytic converter. It was clogged. Had to replace the whole thing. I got a fault code to help my on this diagnosis.
not sure if this will solve you problem, but two area to cross off.
