Scotty:
I have a 2005 Crossfire Convertible with automatic trans and 32,000 miles on it.The problem is that the ABS (ESP or whatever the hell) dash light is constantly on. Chrysler doesn't want to work on it because it's a Mercedes and Mercedes doesn't want to work on it because it's a Chrysler. I've tried the procedure that the manual suggests: turning the steering wheel one way and then the other etc., but the light stays on. The brakes work fine. Do you have any suggestions and what do you think of these cars?
Thanks, love your show
John
You don't need a dealer to work on it. Any shop can pull the code and it will tell them which wheel sensor is acting up. Part costs about $50 OEM. Labor should be pretty light as it's a quick, easy repair.
Nah, Pull out that light out of the dash. No light no problem 😂😂😂 but yes I concur.
So your final question is "what do you think of these cars?"
What a pile of junk.
As for suggestions, I'll leave that for another member to go more in-depth;)
Honestly, I'm not an expert in this area but from Scotty's videos it seems the fix is expensive (the sensors and all that fun stuff) so you really shouldn't be trusting the stability control and just live without it.
Good luck!
