Hello Scotty. I have a 2020 Ford Escape with the 1.5 3 cylinder ecoboost. About 2 weeks ago when the outdoor temperature was -26 F my car started then shut off. The dash message stated engine coolant over temperature. So I had the car towed to the dealer. Car has 46000 miles but still under powertrain warranty of 5years 60000 miles. Plus I bought a Ford extended warranty. They said a sensor had failed and the would not pay for it because I changed the coolant last summer and installed a prestone flush and fill kit. They said I modified the engine. I always do my own service oil coolant filters ect. So I am always looking at fluid levels ect. Just after Christmas I checked the coolant it was fine and rated at 35 below zero. Cost me $400. I have used the prestone flush and fill kits on every vehicle I have ever had with no problem since the 1970's. CHT sensor cost $5.58 rest was labor.
What is your question please?
