Was wondering if its recommended to clean the brake dust on the pistons in brake calipers when changing out pads ? My friend told me I should when putting new pads, first time I've heard this and I've changed pads a couple of times before.

Just use some brake cleaner spray.
Non-chlorinated brake cleaner

yup clean everything off nicely and put dollop of brake grease
