Hi
I have a 2012 kia sorento diesel D4HB engine, 4 cyl 2.2L. 6 speed auto.
Odometer 622,000 km
Engine is original and serviced every 5000 km or 6500 km.
Lately I started hearing lots of clicking noise when climbing up hills, or when accelerating very hard.
When engine is cold and ignition start on, the noise is clearly audible and disappears quickly or as quickly as I start driving.
What could be causing this issue?
No oil burning.
I use Penrite 5w40 and sometimes castrol 5w40.
Ryco for oil filter.

Your engine is worn out. Low oil pressure or failing pistons. With almost 400k miles, time to move on to something else.
