I am getting a weird clunk/rattle noise whenever I hit a bump or pothole with my rear passenger wheel in my Lexus gs350 08 with 150k miles. Its sounds like something from the outside since I hear it louder when any of the windows are open. I took the wheel off but none of the suspension component or axle seemed loose or out of the ordinary.
I tried pulling/shaking everything I could find. I tried bouncing the car while parked but couldn't replicate the noise. Rear axle looked okay too. I was thinking it could be something with the exhaust but the hangers looked intact and I didn't see any heat shield/covers hanging loose. The only thing I saw was the top of the outer rear brake pad had a little movement but the noise seemed much louder than something that small. Please help!
Do my video finding the source of car noises Scotty. It's on YouTube, it will pinpoint any sound and since there's only makes it when you're driving, that's a loaded sound and a noise is going to have to be pinpointed while the car is driving and that's about the only way you can do it
