I just bought an 06 Chevy Aveo manual transmission.
I was at a stop light and accidentally popped the clutch in 1st and there was a loud clunk or bang. The car gets in gear but when I press the accelerator there's a clunking sound and the car doesn't move. It does not have a grinding noise, just clunking that speeds up in time with the engine.
Any idea what is broken?
Not sure if it's relevant but the last owner put a new clutch and imping chain in.

Check the inner and outer CV joints on your drive axles to see if one of them popped, or for that matter if one of the axles snapped. (I'm sure those parts are very light duty on that car.)
