hi,have question about clutch rattling, its 1.4tjet fiat engine 120hp,hearing rattling in clutch when not pressed, when press clutch rattle stops,is that dual mass flywheel bad or clutch disks itself will soon be needed replacement?
It actually could be either of those or even other problems like main shaft bearings going out as long as it drives I would just drive it cuz those Fiat surprises junk anyways and if you do have to take it apart you'd be best to replace all the clutch parts and the stupid duel Mass fly wheel if the noise bothers you but hey it's a Fiat the noisy anyways
Yeah like Scotty said, live with it or replace everything that’s included in the clutch kit.
It could be the release or pilot bearing, but to diagnose it you’ll have to take apart everything.
You didn’t mention the year & mileage of your vehicle, but if you’re still on the original clutch, it’s probably time to change it out too.
It could be the release bearing, torsional springs on the disc or loose fingers on the pressure plate. Either way, it's got to come apart. Might even be the pilot bearing.
While you're in there, it's a good idea to replace the trans input shaft seal, too.
thx on fast reply! {black}:hi:
