Hey Scotty . Patrick here. Me and my dad are long time fans and turn our own wrenches. We have a problem with code p0847 on his Honda Pilot and need help diagnosing what we need to

to check first. I understand its something dealing with the transmission pressure switch. We checked the fluid level,it shifts fine, and no other apparent symptoms!!!!! In your professional opinion what would be the next few things you would check?

It’s not an internal transmission problem, and doesn’t effect tranny shifting at all. It’s simply the sensor the checks your tranny oil pressure. It’s purely electrical. This video explains how to do the exact job step by step simply, https://youtu.be/2qwktcot9nU. Here is the part off of  autozone as well https://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/transmission-oil-pressure-switch/p/duralast-transmission-oil-pressure-switch-ps804/705575_0_0. Hope you have success!

Thanks very much for the information,it is very much appreciated
