Hello everyone, I have an 2004 Nissan maxima 3.5 SE with 130,000 miles. Car starts but dies a few seconds later. To make it idle I have to give gas as soon I start the car. after that the car idles fine. A friend scanned the car and it showed the code P17046 TCM. Any help?
Usually P _ _ _ _ codes have 4 numbers. did you have a code description? it can be brand and model specific.
1726 or 17046?
My bad, is 1746. It's a Nissan and it says: TCM Electronic throttle control actuator

Try cleaning the throttle body to see for any change in how it operates
