Car: 1998 honda civic lx sedan

Engine codes p3400 (vps stuck off bank one) showed up then few days later that code is gone and I'm left with a bunch of different codes related to mis fires

P0420
P0302
P0303
P0304
P0300
P1399

So 3 days ago my check engine light started flashing and when I had the codes check I got a p3400 online says there is something wrong with my vtec solenoid or variable value timing but I can't find the parts on my engine it is also possible that the previous car owner preformed an engine swap I know nothing about but when I look up my engine modle online shows it doesn't have vtec what else could be causing my mis fires if it doesn't have the parts that the computer is saying is going bad I can post pics or could video call if someone can help me get on the right track that be great

My engine modle is d16y4

With all those codes start by doing my video fixing a car with multiple trouble codes. Then email me the first codes that come back after you erase the old codes and run it

Ok so yesterday I checked all my spark plugs and I believe that they were running too hot and they were about a year old so I swapped them and now the only codes I'm getting are a miss fire in cylinder 4 p0304 and a random mis fires code p1399 I'm gonna try and replace my spark plug wires cause the one for num4 was a bit loose also I did have some oil build up in my cylinder 1 when I removed the spark plug what seals should I check for that when I look up the p1399 it says the egr could be clogged could that cause oil to back up into the spark plugs.

Update I swpped the cap and roter and spark plug wires still got those 2 codes p0340 p1399
