Cold engine start oil light shows up sometimes

Sometimes when I start my 2008 Lincoln MKX AWD for the first cold engine startup of the day the oil light comes on unless I revv it up to 2,500 RPM for a moment or restart the engine. Is it actually serious like the oil pressure is low? It never does it while warmed up and it also does not do the oil light daily. I have 237,500 miles

Wow! With that mileage I can guarantee you but some kind of wear inside the engine. But if you don't hear any clanking noise, it's not doing any damage. If you actually have low oil pressure, the engine will clank until the pressure builds up. Could even be just to have a week oil pressure sending unit. They're cheap to change

Good news to hear scotty, I'll get it fixed, your answer is what i was praying to hear. Yeah luckily no unusual noises. The car is used for doordash easily putting 100 miles on a night
