- Scotty, this may sound basic, but with my high idle on my Ford 5.8 V8 high idle and my new IAC? I want to reset the computer. Do I disconnect the positive terminal first on the battery and then negative or just positive for 5 min. Some people have conflicting views and wanted to know the right ways, thanks.

I've always disconnect ground first, that way there's no chance of causing sparks. And when reconnecting, positive first, then neg.
