Hi I want to know more about Continuously Variable Transmission. Is this transmission better than auto? Is this transmission good or bad? Thank you

They are more fragile and do not last as long as a good conventional automatic transmission.

Is there a video talk about this transmission for me? Thank you

Plenty of them on youtube you can search out. Here's one to get you started:

Thank you so much

It is more complex than a regular automatic and more fragile too but the good ones aren't as bad as some people make it seem like. I mean on some online forums people talk about cvt as if it's a total piece of garbage that you can't speed up with or you can't pass someone in the freeway or it'll go out the next day you buy it. So while not as good as regular automatic but still not awful either; I've driven the Toyota and Honda ones and they're good.

here's a video from Scotty about it and you can find much more information online:

very helpful information thank you!

it's not more complex at all. There are far fewer moving parts. The two drums and belt replace probably hundreds of components.

yes not complex as far as number of parts, but more complex as far as maintaining (cvt fluid change) and repair costs if it goes bad.

do you think so? Don't you just drain and fill? Do CVTs cost more than conventional automatics?

Is this transmission good or bad?

It depends on what is your "good" and what is "bad".

CVTs are more fuel efficient (which is why they are becoming more popular), but they tend not to be as strong or durable.
