I recently acquired a 2004 Grand Marquis LS premium 85,000 mi for $2,800. I'm working on it making it really nice and can post pictures when I'm done. Anyhow among many other service items I recently drop the diff cover wire brushed sanded primed multiple coats painted multiple coats whole rear axle and frame area and differential (NY car). Doing the trans pan drop and filter change now did not see the plug in the pan so i guess it had been done before i hoped they used motorcraft mercon v but no way to know or is there?  I see they changed coolant to the green stuff when its supposed to be HOAT motor craft gold. So thats not encouraging. Any how while going over mid section car and wire brushing I noticed torn upper control arm ball joint dust boots.  There is not geese fittings on these. The sway bar end links dont look so hot either. If i change control arms i can use recommendations and torque specs any advice welcome. And will i need an alignment after this? Am i able to post pictures in here? Im new to the site. Ohh and is there a clutch band adjustment to do in this car?

I don't know the details for your car but in general you need to get an alignment after doing front suspension work.
