Hi! I added about half a bottle of tap water on my radiator. Not a dirty water. My radiator has pre mixed coolant with it. Will it destroy my radiator? I added tap water just to make sure I wont have any problems on my travel. I have no access currently with distilled water. Honda civic 2011
From what I understand, according to the manuals, ideally you would use the correct coolant and/or coolant + distilled water ratio. But if you are in a pinch, you could put regular water in there.
They usually recommend eventually flushing the entire system if you do use anything other than the recommendation.
With that said, the amount you put in seems so small, compared to the whole system, you should be fine. If it was much more, I probably would eventually do a flush.
