Hi Scotty!
Just bought a new to me 2012 Mazda CX-9 GT , With 82k on it!
Changed the coolant yesterday, and it states not to flush that type of radiator, so i did the old school
method, just filling it back up with water and drained it again. Anyhow only 2 gallons came out , so that is what went
back in. However, the owners manuel states 3.6 Gallons of coolant for that engine.
Am I missing something?
Thank you in advance!

Some coolant remains in the engine.

You'll be fine. Just make sure you monitor it for a while. Trapped air will get burped out so keep the level topped up, and grab yourself a coolant tester (a few bucks) to make sure the concentration is strong enough.
