I have a 2013 Mazda CX-5 AWD with the 2.5l 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine, it has 79,000 miles. I am the original owner from new should I have the cooling system flushed out now as it is 8 years old and I have never had to top it up. My Mechanic says that now would be a good time purely based on age of the car. The car has green coolant at the moment and he wants use the same stuff that is already in the car.

Yes I would flush it out but I would also use the modern long life antifreeze color doesn't always mean anything it's just a die you want to use the modern one often green is the old-fashioned one that doesn't work as well and it did not come with green old fashioned stuff Mazda hasn't used that for decades
