Coolant loss

Hi Scotty, I have a Skoda Octavia 1.2tsi manual with 115000 Kms. It's 2015 and bought from a dealer.

The problem is it needs a litre of water top-up every month. The engine oil is clear

Also, make sure the radiator cap is tight and pressure test the cooling system.

You may change the radiator cap (OEM) and see if it solves your issue.

Another vote to pressure-test the cooling system. If you're lucky it could just be a loose hose clamp or a pinhole leak in a hose.

See below and pray it is just a leak and not a blown head gasket:

If you don't see a puddle of coolant on the ground and you're still losing it, it's a blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head.
