2011nissan juke. 165000 miles. I thought my cooling fan wasn't working. Doesn't come on if I turn ac on or heat. Car is overheating. I drove it about 15 minutes to get the temperature up and checked fan, and it's on but it seems at very low speed. What should I check
What should I check
Check the fan motor by hooking it up directly to 12V to see if it works at full speed. Work your way back through the circuitry from there as needed (connectors, fuses, relays, etc.).
Has the cooling system been properly maintained? You might have a clogged radiator, stuck thermostat, or a water pump with a bad impeller.
I did the ipdm test and the fan didn't come on

So there's a lot of stuff that can go wrong here.
Maybe run the IPDM Auto Active Test just to see (between the ECU, IPDM, Cooling Fan Control Module, and Cooling Fan) if the fan speed can be controlled without any sensor input (circuit sensors are listed in the image above). Part of the IPDM Auto Active Test is to run the Cooling Fan at 50% Duty Cycle (slow) and 100% Duty Cycle (fast).
IPDM Auto Active Test:
a) Close all the doors except the driver's door.
b) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
c) Turn the ignition switch ON, and within 20 seconds, press the driver door jamb switch 10 times. Then turn the ignition switch OFF.
d) Turn the ignition switch ON within 10 seconds. After that the horn sounds once and the auto active test starts.
e) After a series of the following operations is repeated 3 times, auto active test is completed.
When auto active test mode is actuated, the following operation sequence is repeated 3 times: Rear window defogger for 10 seconds. Front wiper motor LO for 5 seconds/HI for 5 seconds, parking lamp, license plate lamp, tail lamp, side marker lamp and front fog lamp for 10 seconds. Headlamp LO for 10 seconds/HI ON and OFF 5 times. A/C compressor (magnet clutch) ON and OFF 5 times. Cooling fan 50% duty for 5 seconds, 100% duty for 5 seconds.
After ipdm test, fan didn't come on at all. I heard like a click, maybe in the engine bay fuse box
I looked at a diagram of one of the engine fuse boxes, found where it says cooling fan relay, there are 2 of them, negative and positive, and there aren't any relays in there. I'm so confused
I think on your 2011 Juke with a single fan they located the fan relay in a weathertite box on the fan shroud in the wiring harness
.

.
Your next test would be to unplug the fan from the fan control module and, using 2 wires connected to battery positive and battery negative, apply power and ground directly to the fan motor to see if the motor works or if it's defective
.
Before that, make sure the 50 amp Cooling Fan Fuse in engine compartment fuse box #2 is good.
