In general the ZZ engine is one of Toyota’s weakest ones, so unlike a ZR engine, a failure at only 87k miles isn’t unheard of, they usually do not last over 130k.

When it starts it seems to have some rod knock but I’m not sure. I’d try revving it when it’s cold to try and hear more.

This is not normal and usually requires a total engine rebuild or replacement, but again I’m not sure if this is your exact issue. It could be a lot of other things on that engine.

In general these engines have an issue with timing chain stretch but I couldn’t really hear it here.

Thank you brother.. Really Appreciated..

@indikasampath what were your oil change intervals?
Try revving when cold and compare it to the example video…
Also check that you have oil.

@Dan I changed oil every 5000KM.. thanks friend i will check..

I noticed that 'tractor' noise too

Is it like an ignition knock ?

Do the car only sound like this during cold start? After it warms up do the noise goes away? If so it does have to do with ignition/fuel/air. If it were just misfire, but to me, that sounds like valve lifters.

@bruceree yes its start during cold start... thanks friend, I will check ..
