Thanks Scotty for everything. Daughter's 2017 Corolla 26k miles. Heard a compressor type of noise last night coming from behind the left-rear tire. Car had been sitting hours. started car and moved 20 ft into driveway and back to garage. noise stopped. Any ideas? Car had been sitting for hours before i came home and heard the noise. {black}:pray:

Evap system is doing some routine test. I could go in the garage and either of my vehicles will make similar noises even at midnight, hours after getting home from work.
Well if the car wasn't moving the only thing there is a fuel pump inside the gas tank maybe a little crud got in maybe make noise
