I drive 2017 Toyota Corolla Le Eco (Cvt). It has 105000 kms. When I come to a stop there is a sound coming from under the hood. When I change the gear to neutral the sound goes. The sound comes on when the car is in Drive or Reverse and brake pedel is depressed. When I put it in drive and pull the handbrake the sound goes away. What could be it? Is it the torque converter going bad? I’ve never changed the transmission fluid.
thanks
Umm, maybe. But it could also be other things. Your mileage is way too low for the ‘CTV’ to go out so soon.
Make a video & post a link here to it.
Now is a good time to go ahead & change the transmission fluid.
Apparently, it is related to your transmission.
To make sure, you should pin point the sound source. Scotty has some videos for that.
