I have recently purchased a 2010 toyota Corolla with around 70 thousand miles on it from my sister. The car has a been sitting for about a week or 2 while i tried to sell my old one. I went to go start it and it would only go into accessory mode. It has the push to start button. I've pushed on the brake, put it in park, It has a brand new battery so it's highly unlikely its dead and it locks and unlocks so i don't see how the fob is dead. Any idea i can't start it?
Try jump starting it
I just did, still nothing
Could be the B.C.M is the security light on?
I found out there is some sort of secondary security device that was installed to make insurance cheaper or something. I'm able to start it now thought, where would i even begin to get rid of that stupid system?
