  1. Hi, I Have a 2003 toyota camry 2.4 It has been starting a little bit weird lately it will crank normal and when it about to start it will hesitate for a second and start up it also has a slight jerk if you step on the gas and completely let off the gas it will jerk, but won't jerk when you are at consistent speed and then let off the gas could they both indicate a clogged fuel filter or fuel preassure regulater will it be ok to drive it until I fix it. Thanks

The problem is it will be "fine" but you will end up stuck on the side of the road. Worse yet backpressure can cause other parts to fail. Lines, pump, etc can only stand up to so much of it before they let go.

I'd replace it asap rather than gamble with a giant tow bill & more parts to replace.

True but do you think a fuel filter is what the problem is

How old is the fuel filter? When you scanned the car for codes and checked live/freeze-frame data did that reveal any problems?

Sounds like the filter, could be the pump too but always want to start with the cheapest most basic fix first.

I'd go with what @chucktobias said & scan for other issues as well.
