Any tricks for getting to the trans dipstick tube retaining bolt? I can barely see it from the bottom & let alone reach it, from the top I can't see it or feel it.
It's pretty crunchy & since all other lines, etc are being replaced, not taking any chances.
Yeah they don't give you much working room but I often use one of those packs and wrenches to have the swiveling end with a ratchet built in like gear wrench mix
Thanks Scotty, I'll give that a try. You'd think a truck that big would be slightly more accessible.
Hopefully the penetrating oil actually hit the bolt & worked in, it would be a nightmare if it snapped off below the surface up there.
The final parts don't arrive until the 23rd so it's getting a few more healthy doses.
